I recently started to have a drop off in range and assumed it was the brakes again as the front wheels got warm. It’s not the brakes as the discs stay cool to the touch but he centre of the front wheel gets warm. Could this be caused by a failing wheel bearing?
Is it just one wheel getting warm?
yes the near side.
Live in an area with a lot of roundabouts?
Yes a few on my daily trip which i take quite quickly.
The NSF always takes more of a hit, especially in an area with lots of roundabouts. It could be the start of a wheel bearing problem.
Are you able to jack it up off the ground and try and wobble the wheel by holding it top and bottom, to assess if there’s any play?
I’ll give it a go this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.
Good tip this
