I have a problem with Bmw i3. The drivetrain malfunction error pops up on the idrive display all the time. Because reading errors with the bmw service program pops out errors regarding insulation. (photos attached)
Do you have an idea how to solve it?
Thank you very much in advance
a low insulation reading could because you have water or moisture in the electric motor or in a connector somewhere, from your picture there are multiple error codes from different locations around the car.
i would send the car to the main dealer to sort out the problem.
if your batteries become short circuit you will have a bigger problem on your hands.
Thank you for your response. Professionally I am a mechanic. I have all the service programs and repair data for the BMW i3. I’ve tried a few solutions and still do not know what to do / what function to enable to help. Do you have any idea?
